About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the University College as we continue to develop and expand our clinical services. Reporting to the Clinical Imaging Lead, the successful candidate will undertake a variety of diagnostic x-rays providing clinical diagnostic services to the public as appropriate. The successful candidate will assist with administration and other activities supporting the work of the Clinical Imaging Services and developing and enhancing its reputation both internally and externally. They will also support the education of the University students in conjunction with the academic teaching staff.
About the person
The successful candidate for this role should have proven relevant experience in diagnostic radiology undertaking plain film/projectional radiography. Candidates must have a radiography background with experience of working within clinical environments. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as a member of a team are essential qualities the successful applicant will possess.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University College as an Associate Lecturer at a key stage in its development in a position that allows you to continue to work clinically but share your expertise in developing others through teaching and assessment.
AECC University College is expanding its portfolio of workforce development /post – registration educational provision aimed at healthcare professionals. This will include the delivery of an Advanced Clinical Practice course, PGCert First Contact Practice, Nonmedical Prescribing and a number of standalone unit options that allow people to work towards a MSc Professional Practice. We are creating a clinical faculty to support us with the delivery of this provision, by recruiting a wide range of clinical experts to develop the knowledge, skills and capability of the healthcare workforce. This role can be undertaken doing a variety of hours and working patterns which will be individually negotiated.
We are particularly looking for people that are working as First Contact Practitioners (paramedic, dietetic and podiatry roadmap) to support our FCP students with achievement of stage 2 roadmaps and also pharmacists to support the development of our medication management and Non-Medical prescribing developments.
You should have a passion for teaching and developing others. All applicants should be registered healthcare professionals (Nurses or AHPs) with significant clinical experience in their field of clinical practice (5+ years), ideally with a Masters qualification in a relevant subject. Excellent interpersonal skills, patience and the ability to work well as a member of a team are essential qualities. They will have relevant experience of clinical practice or academic teaching, with knowledge of the current evidence base to support student’s education and a commitment to an evidence-based education for students.
